Gingersnaps Warehouse Sale

First of all, Happy holidays to all! I was not able to post anything during the Christmas holidays. But then again, it's better late than never. That also goes for my trip today to the Gingersnaps Warehouse sale. Sadly, I only found out about this during the Christmas holidays, during which time they were also closed so I had to wait for them to open again today. The last day of the sale will be tomorrow. There were not so many items left since the sale has been going on since November. But I was still able to buy some cute and adorable clothes for my daughter, Gaby. Baby clothes range from Php 100 to 120. What a bargain! The only thing that I didn't like about the sale was that there was this incident wherein an employee brought out stuffs that she hid or stashed away for her friend who was there. Now this was a commotion since the items that she brought out were really nice ones and several people flocked immediately waiting for rejects or those items that they will not be buying. It didn't look fair to me, but oh well, I have only learned my lesson... I have to be early for next year's sale... Be there when it opens so that I'll get first pick over the nice goodies. Hopefully. See you there next year!

Nikon Flash Dilemma: SB-400 or SB-600?

My husband and I are thinking of buying an external flash for our Nikon D40. It's a great DSLR and we're quite satisfied with it, but we both think that an added flash would definitely work wonders for our indoor and low lighting photos. We rarely use the built-in flash of the camera since we don't like the results of the photos that come out using it. Now, here comes the dilemma... should we buy the SB-400 or the SB-600?

I have been trying to read reviews but they are conflicting and now I don't know what to think. I think that the reviews at www.kenrockwell.com are quite helpful but I've read other opinions at forums. We're leaning towards buying the SB-400 due to it's very small size which would be great to match the small body of the D40 and of course it's cheaper price. But it can only be bounced off from ceilings since it cannot be tilted sideways which would make it impossible to use for vertical shots. The SB-600 looks very bulky and big to me. But it does have more advanced features than the SB-400. Oh, I really don't know. Any comments are very much welcome, especially coming from those who know more about these stuff than I do. :)

Happy Birthday Nona!

Happy Birthday! ¡feliz cumpleaƱos! Maligayang Kaarawan! Birthday greetings to my one and only Mama! I won't tell the world how young you are but suffice to say that you look younger than your years but wiser beyond it. :) Thank you for everything, I love you! :)

This photo was taken during our trip to Baguio.

On Vacation

Wow, I have not been able to post anything on this blog for months now. I have been busy with work and with motherhood. I am still able to scrap every now and then, making a few LOs here and there. But I always make a desktop wallpaper monthly from freebies that I've downloaded. Well I am on vacation now so I decided to post something here.

After being on my present job for 2 years, this is the first time that I have been on a long vacation. We did not go to anywhere far, but to Baguio where the weather is cooler than in Manila and we chose to go there since my baby girl has not been there yet. All I wanted was to spend quality time with the family and that's what I got. :) We were not able to stay long though because I am the only one on vacation and the rest of the family have to go back to their work. But we will definitely go back soon.

The photo above showing the side of a butterfly was taken during our short trip by my brother. It was his first time using the Macro mode of my Nikon D40 DSLR camera. He was able to take more beautiful Macro photos which are now up on his blogpost HERE at http://limatik.com.

I also hope to post some pictures from our trip sometime later.

Am I back?

I had time today to do another layout of Gaby's pictures from her 2nd birthday. I sacrificed re-watching Twilight to digiscrap, but it was worth it LOL. Yey, this means that I am on a roll! 2 blog posts in less than a week, wow, I guess I have time now huh? Hopefully, I can continue making layouts this often and of course, post them too! I still have tons of Gaby's pictures to scrap and am waaay behind. Anyways, thanks for looking! :)

Time flies...

Yey, I was finally able to scrap again... after a loooong while. I was already thinking that I forgot how to. Anyways, time flies by so fast and Gaby has just recently turned 2! She's so big and full of energy, hardly the tiny little premie baby that she once was. Here are some of her pictures taken during her birthday party. Hopefully I can scrap more these coming days. I am so out of touch with my old scrapping friends. I hope you're all doing well! I miss you guys... and I miss digiscrapping even more! :)
